Student Community Action (SCA) Officer – Job Description
THE SCA OFFICER SHALL:
Help recruit, motivate and retain student volunteers.
Give advice, information and practical support to volunteers when necessary.
Be responsible for organising an SCA committee and attending meetings.
Liaise with relevant organisations and individuals in the local community.
Ensure the continuation of existing projects and assist in the organisation of all SCA projects.
Expand the range of projects/events offered by the SCA group.
Ensure that all projects and placements are in line with the Union’s policies including Health and Safety.
Attend all training deemed appropriate to the post.
Maintain links with SCA Cymru.
Be an unpaid, part time officer of the Union, act as a trustee of te Union and so sit on the Executive Committee.
