'An organised course of action for a particular purpose, especially to arouse public interest'
One of the most important jobs Trinity SU does, is to run campaigns on matters and issues which impact on students. Campaigns can be run on a large variety issues from fighting for student rights to reminding you all of the dangers of too much alcohol.
We aim to maintain and promote the welfare of Students by supplying you with helpful information and running campaigns on a whole host of issues.
Throughout the year we have a number of different campaigns and projects running. These can be anything from raising awareness of the SU Services on campus to ensuring that Wednesday afternoons are kept free for sport.
One of our campaigns saw us join 30,000 students marching through the wet streets of London to protest against proposed the Top-Up fees for Higher Education. We took a coach of over 50 students from Trinity College to join in the march against Top-Up fees.
Whether or not students have approached us and requested that action be taken on a certain issue or not, these campaigns are ALWAYS student driven, i.e. there is the belief that students at Trinity will benefit from us carrying out the campaign. If you have an issue that you think needs to be addressed, please do not hesitate to contact the SU.
Think we can improve the way we campaign? Contact us and let us know what you think and how things could be improved. We look forward to hearing from you.
