FRESHER BUDDIES 2009
As you are aware, on the registration day at the beginning of every year, we run a scheme called the Fresher Buddy’s! Last year, they would have been those over friendly people in bright red shirts. The scheme is designed to introduce yourselves to new students and settle them down from the word go, into a situation that may be daunting for them, but it also to collaborate the new student into the wonderful community that is Trinity College. Selected Buddy’s for 2009 will be expected to come back earlier than most students and undergo a day of training. Buddy’s are expected to show new students to their rooms on campus, welcome all new students and involve them with social activities from the start, help during the Fresher’s Fayre and also to aid in any other events during Fresher’s Fortnight. It really is a great opportunity to meet new people and be a fine ambassador for the College and the Union.
